The Knightsbridge is a self-contained living space suitable for a granny annex, a gym, hobby room, guest room, home office, pool house, hair & beauty salon, photography studio, or even better a garden bar, the possibilities are endless!

Choosing the right building for the right use is so important, what is now a games room in a few years can become a haven for peace & tranquillity.  Moreover, of course you may want to fit out the interior to suit both your current needs and the all-important future needs, ensuring many years of continued and changing use in your beautifully constructed Knightsbridge!

This beautiful building comes with a double glazed solid hardwood bi-folding door.

The standard internal fixings are, a wall-mounted 2 kw electric heater, three double plug sockets one track lighting units with four lights and a consumer unit,

The floor is covered in durable vinyl CAMARO polyflor.  This comes in a choice of four finishes as standard.

The quality of the insulation used in The Knightsbridge means that the 2 kw wall mounted heater is more than enough to keep the whole room warm even on the coldest of winter days.

There is a large range of up grades available for The Knightsbridge, starting with kitchen units, toilets and shower units, you can add more lights or plug sockets.

Construction of Garden Office's & Studio:

Built very similarly to a timber frame house extension, the walls are double skinned stud walls with insulation between the linings.  The walls are then wired internally as in a house so nothing is "surface mounted" it's all built in, likewise for the lighting.

Prior to this a floor deck is made on which the whole building will sit.  This gives sub-floor ventilation which negates the possibility of any rising damp, however we still install damp proof membrane.

The external walls are then built off the floor deck, thus giving internally a minimum of 7ft of headroom at the lowest point of our ceilings.  This allows a non-claustrophobic feel to an airy room.

After the exterior walls are erected, the insulation is added and the doors are installed.

Next the roof panels are fitted along with the insulation and wiring.  The walls are then covered with white MDF, skirtings and architraves fitted and decorated ready for use as a completed room.  All doors have laminated safety glass.  

Standard domestic house, door and window frames are used as the walls are thick enough to take building regulation-approved frames.

5 lever insurance approved mortice locks on all doors.  All doors are glazed with laminated or toughened glass.  An attractive insulated Camaro vinyl wood range floor is then added to offer a complete finish.

External wall claddings are e25 x 150 Red Wood as standard but that's not to say that we can't clad the exterior with a cladding of your choice.

For the roof we use 60mm insulated roof panels as standard.  Plastisol coated roof sheets in a variety of colours are also available or you could upgrade with the option of slate tiles or cedar shingles.

Site preparation and groundwork required.

As our buildings come with fully insulated floor deck we recommend that the building sits on a concrete base, this needs to be level on all planes to ensure the maximum efficiency from your building.  If you do not already have a concrete base we would be happy to quote you for one.  There is no need for deep foundations and usually 4-6 inches is deep enough.  

You need to ensure that there is adequate access to your property and the base are is clean of any rubbish and that any over hanging trees are cut back.  There should be at least 50cm clear area around the proposed site of the building to allow our installation team working access.
